Through quiet sensitivity and the artful randomness of context and content, we craft unexpected spaces where reveries unfold.

Founded in 2017 by Ar. IDr. Lim Kee Yen as a design-focused architectural practice grounded in sensitivity, contextual awareness, and thoughtful experimentation.

Rooted in the tropics of Malaysia, the studio is known for its carefully considered residential works that explore the dialogue between interior and exterior, natural and built, restraint and expression. Each project is approached through multi-perspective thinking and rigorous design development from conceptual clarity to construction detailing.

By taking on selective commissions, the practice remains personally involved in every stage of its projects, nurturing architecture that is refined yet unexpected, poetic yet rational. Guided by the belief in responding to the sensitivities and randomness of the world, KYA shapes contemporary living environments that are deeply human, environmentally attuned, and quietly distinctive.

Response | Random | Reveries

Sensitivity as Response. Randomness as Art. Reveries as Space.
